Kenwood Store Manager: Michael Kaplan
I am originally from Richmond, Va. and was raised with a love of sport and an appreciation for the outdoors. Whether it was shooting a Model 12 from a duck blind or casting my first fly line across the still waters of the Teton River in Idaho, my father made sure to share his passions with me, thus igniting my own fervor for the outdoors. This passion has led me to live in Montana, where I studied English at the University of Montana (another passion) and to instruct others on the art of Fly Fishing. I'm happy to say that I have made a lot of great friends and have experienced memorable events since falling in love with the wilderness and I am excited to be working in the Greater Cincinnati area.
Kenwood Fly Fishing Manager: Tim Silvieus
Tim is excited to be in Cincinnati and discover all that the Tri-state area has to offer. Born and raised near the Smallmouth and Steelhead waters of north-east Ohio, Tim began to chase fish not long after he learned how to walk. His under-graduate studies took him to the city of Chicago where he was able to explore more of the Midwest fisheries in Wisconsin, Michigan, Illinois, and Indiana. Since then he has lived in Eastern New York where he fished most of the great waters the region had to offer; such as the Farmington, Housatonic, Ausable, and Delaware Rivers all while he was an associate at Orvis Sandanona. Tim loves spending time with his wonderful wife of less than a year, and enjoys reading philosophy and theology whenever he gets an opportunity.
Stop in and say hello before your next fishing trip and see what Tim can do for you.
