Enjoy the simple beauty of our traditional bedding designs.

The bed quilts we carry combine the traditional beauty of an old time craft with the practicality needed in today's modern home. The variety of designs and color palettes of these finely made quilts will fit in with traditional country homes as well as more modern, minimalist settings. Make up a bed with one of these fine pieces of art, drape it over a living room sofa, or hang it prominently as wall art.

Our reversible Boutis bed quilt, an Orvis exclusive, features richly textured raised designs created with meticulous needlework. One of the world's most sophisticated needlework traditions, boutis quilting dates back to the seventeenth century. Available in soft tones of blue, pink, green or yellow fabric for the quilt top with white on the reverse side, these quilts and matching shams are of 100 percent prewashed and preshrunk cotton.

Perfect for a girl's room but sophisticated enough for an adult woman, this softly feminine Granberry quilt design features detailing of embroidered flowers and vines on a pretty patch quilt, sewn of velvets, yarn-dyed plaids, and waffle piqué squares in colors dominated by pinks, greens, and whites. Available in Twin, Full/Queen, and King with matching pillow shams, both quilts and shams are of pure cotton.

Choose from two different takes on a traditional design.

The log cabin pattern is a traditional design made from strips of cloth sewn together in a variety of patterns to form a quilt block, then pieced together to form a variety of distinctive designs. These two bed quilts take the basic design and use them in profoundly different ways for looks that are as different as they could be.

A contemporary take on an American classic, the rich green, gold and umber yarn-dyed plaids of our Colorado Log Cabin design were inspired by the vibrance of fall foliage. The geometric log cabin quilt pattern predates the Civil War and became so popular by the 1870s that special log cabin quilt shows were held. This pure cotton quilt combines the traditionally alternating horizontal and vertical strips with a series of eight-pointed stars for a modern look.

Our Battenkill Log Cabin Quilt, on the other hand, takes fabric strips and sews them parallel to each other to form square blocks, then alternates the blocks, vertical, then horizontal, for a very different look in log cabin designs. With the traditional yarn-dyed tartan plaids in muted tones of sage green and burgundy cotton, the result is a very old-fashioned, handmade look perfect for Early American decor. Choose the appropriate size quilt for your bed from our collection of Twin, Full/Queen, or King bed quilts; also available are matching pillows, pillow shams, and a comfortable throw.
