With a background of 18+ years of Retail Management (Apparel & Specialty), I have chosen to be with The Orvis Company for our vast variety of products for men and women, as well as the novice or the experienced outdoorsmen. I am also proud to be representing a company with extensive conservation programs.
Growing up in northern Indiana with my family of fishermen and hunters, I spent much of my time in the great outdoors. Now, residing in the Metro Detroit Area for the past 12 years I am a huge advocator for hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, ORV/ATV, and boating. So what are you waiting for? A native of Massachusetts, Merlino spent 14 years in Las Vegas before moving to Detroit, Michigan. Teaching others to fly fish and tie flies is vital to Merlino's enjoyment of the sport. He considers fishing time to be just as well spent if he is teaching someone else, and loves when people approach him with questions while he is casting in his yard or on the water.
