For the most part small stream tactics apply to the Little Lehigh. Shorter rods, light lines, fine tippets and drag free floats. Trout in the regulated areas can be very selective, which makes it a great place to test your skills as a flyfisherman. The stream is full of "highly educated" stream-bred browns as well as lots of lunker rainbows and some brook trout..
Rain on monday and tuesday brought stream up and muddy. stream is still cloudy but fishable. Sulphers have made their appearance now. Hatch time around 7:30 pm till dark. Bring a flashlight to tie that last fly on in poor light.
