Sacramento River - Upper, California Fly Fishing Reports & Conditions
My tips of the week
The rains are back and the river is rising and falling like a roller coaster. Look for those windows when it is dropping and get out there. There have been some decent BWO hatches and the flats are showing sipping fish, nice big fish. Nymphing is always a good bet, consider a lot of weight to get it down into that bottom column of water. A good assortment of nymphs should include legs, Gordon Prince, S&M, Micro Mays, and P.T.'s.
