Our 50,000 acres of coastal wetlands, prairies, and agricultural fields play host to
fabulous populations of migratory waterfowl. Millions of ducks and geese migrate
to Louisiana during the fall and winter to feed on aquatic plants and seeds not available
in other regions. Guests will hunt several species of ducks, including mallards,
pintail, gadwall, and teal, along with white-fronted geese and snow geese. Spend
your evenings pursuing quail, dove, and snipe in the agricultural fields and return
to the lodge to feast on authentic Cajun southern cuisine. Lodge renovations and
expansion competed in the fall of 2006 added a new wing with four additional
bedrooms, each with two queen-size beds, private bathroom, Jacuzzi tub, and porch.
Also, a new conference room complete with all the necessities to accommodate
your business meeting will be available to you and your guests. And for those who
want to relax over a game of pool and a ball game on two plasma-screen televisions,
there is a game room addition for you to enjoy in the evenings. A large pro shop
stocked with all of the popular “guide wear” is also available. Located 20 minutes
south of Lake Charles, LA. Shuttle service available to and from Lake Charles
Regional Airport. Early teal season (September). Waterfowl season for ducks and
geese (November-February).
Lodge accommodations. Wild ducks, geese, dove,
snipe. Preserve quail and chukar.
