Occasionally, a problem will arise that was not discovered during product testing. Because we want to make sure that every product owned by our customers is 100% right, we will issue a complete recall in these situations. Recall Notice: February 9, 2009 Heated Gloves and Heated Insoles If you purchased the Heated Gloves or Heated Insoles, item #9T2R, from Orvis, or received them as a gift in 2008, please note that we are issuing a total recall. We have discovered a problem with some of these gloves and insoles. In one instance, the battery pack malfunctioned, causing smoldering. Recall Notice: November 19, 2008 Clearwater Navigator Boot We’ve seen a number of instances where the outsoles of our Clearwater Navigator Boots peel off the midsole and also cause the metal studs to move out of alignment. We’ve identified the problem as an improper adhesive used on two purchase orders from 2008. The purchase order numbers are 19966 and 19480. Learn more about our Clearwater Navigator Boot recall. Recall Notice: March 14, 2008 Helios 908-4 Limited Edition Only, Helios 909-4, 910-4 Fly Rods We closely monitor rods that are returned to us for breakage, and even though just a few rods in each of these three models have been returned to us, our rod designers noticed they all broke in the same place in the tip-mid section, so they designed a new section that will be even stronger without changing the weight or the casting characteristics of the rod a bit.
