How do I know if my order was shipped?
If you give us your email address when you place your order, you will be notified via email when your order has been shipped. If you do not have an email address, simply visit our website and use our online tracking service to check the progress of your order.
How long will it take to receive my order?
In-stock items normally leave our warehouse within 24 hours of the time you place your order. Standard ground shipping methods will usually deliver an order within 5 to 7 business days. Use Express Shipping, Second-Day Shipping, or Next-Day Shipping for guaranteed delivery of your order within three business days, two business days, or the next business day, respectively.
Furniture and oversize items are usually delivered by appointment within the contiguous 48 states only. Handcrafted and personalized items may require a longer delivery period; the delivery time for these items is noted in the item copy.
Which carriers does Orvis use?
Orvis uses FedEx and USPS for standard shipping. For express services, Orvis uses FedEx.
What is the "cut-off time" for express delivery?
The cut-off time for non-fishing merchandise is 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. The cut-off time for fishing merchandise is 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. So if you want to order a fly rod for next-business-day delivery, be sure to order it prior to 3:00 p.m. ET.
