1. I saw something in my Orvis catalog that I didn’t see in my local Orvis Retail Store. Can I special order that item from my Orvis Retail Store?

Retail & Outlet Store Answers
1. I saw something in my Orvis catalog that I didn't see in my local Orvis Retail Store. Can I special order that item from my Orvis Retail Store?
  Answer: Orvis Retail Stores have dozens of exciting retail-exclusive styles, but each one may not necessarily have on hand everything we offer online or in our catalogs. If you are looking for a specific item, please feel free to call the store ahead of time to ensure it is in stock. As always, our store associates will be happy to order anything we carry so you can see it in person.

2. When I place a special order with my local Orvis Retail Store, where will it be delivered? Do I pick it up at the store, or can I have it delivered to my home?
  Answer: If an item is no longer available in your local Orvis store, ask a retail sales associate at the store to check our other stores for you. Using our inventory system, they may be able to locate the item at one of our other retail stores and have it shipped to you.

3. Can I have the order shipped to the store for pick up?
 

Answer: If you place an order over our special retail store Green Phone service, in most cases* , you can have your order shipped to the store directly. Our store associates will also be happy to order anything we carry so you can see it in person and have it shipped to the store for you. If you call in your order using the general Orvis catalog order line, your items must be shipped to your residence or business address.

* The exception is furniture and home accessories, which may need to be shipped directly to your home, depending on the store. Some of our smaller stores simply do not have the storage available to special order furniture items and have them shipped to the store.

Some of our larger stores offer furniture and home accessories in-store. If a store is not listed as a "furniture & home accessories" store, then please discuss delivery of furniture and home accessories with the store manager when you place your Green Phone service order.


4. How can I get an item I saw at an Orvis store that is not in the catalog or on the website?
  Answer: If an item is no longer available in your local Orvis store, ask a retail sales associate at the store to check our other stores for you. Using our inventory system, they may be able to locate the item at one of our other retail stores and have it shipped to you. 

5. Can I bring my dog to my local Orvis Retail Store?
  Answer: Most Orvis Retail Stores encourage you to bring your dog to the store; participating stores will give your dog a treat. Look for the "Dogs Welcome" message on the listing of Orvis Retail Stores.

6. Are there Orvis Retail Stores that offer furniture and home accessories?
  Answer: Our larger format Orvis Retail Stores also offer a line of furniture and home accessories. Look for the "Furniture & Home Accessories" message on the listing of Orvis Retail Stores.

7. What's the difference between a retail store and a sale outlet?
 

Answer: An Orvis Retail Store carries current merchandise with some in-store specials. It carries retail-only merchandise that you cannot find in your catalog or on the Orvis.com website. Your Orvis Retail Store also offers a service for special ordering items to your home.

An Orvis Retail Outlet offers discontinued merchandise exclusively at extra savings for clearance. Your Orvis Retail Outlet cannot provide you with special order services.


8. What is a "warehouse sale"?
  Answer: An Orvis Warehouse Sale is a limited-time sale event. Warehouse sales take place at a pre-announced location, usually a sale outlet mall, convention center, outdoor sale tent, or in the parking lot of one of our retail stores or outlet locations. These events usually last 2 to 4 days and offer savings of up to 70% off retail on select discontinued merchandise.
