Nothing better reflects the rich history of the Penobscot River than the people for which it is named. And there is perhaps no better symbol of the Penobscot Indian Nation than their birch bark canoe.
Orvis is proud to have a handcrafted one-of-a-kind Penobscot Nation birch bark canoe to display in its flagship store in Manchester, Vermont as a way to represent the importance of this restoration project.
This gorgeous canoe was to be raffled to help raise money for the project, however, we’re sorry to announce the raffle will not be going forward due to regulations. The canoe will be on display at our Manchester flagship store. Please drop in and see it, and us, and learn more about this great project.
