Steelheading on the Rogue River at Morrison's River Lodge
October 17, 18, 19 2009

$1100 - Two days, three nights of lodging, guided fishing and instruction… all meals included. Morrison’s Lodge and Orvis San Francisco are hosting two days and three nights of fishing on one of the classic steelhead fisheries in the West. The Rogue has reliable fall migrations that run from August through November. Over 150 miles of fishable water on the Rogue, with the primary being the 30 miles of the river surrounding Morrison’s Rogue River Lodge. Store manager Sarah Horky is well suited to the Orvis distinctive country lifestyle with a background in outdoor gear sales. Most recently, Sarah held the position of store manager and active training manager for Any Mountain, Ltd, one of the Bay Area’s top ski and snowboard retailers. Sarah has a strong love of the outdoors and enjoys spending time with her husband Robert and son Christoph on their boat.

Kevin Johnson is San Francisco’s new Fly Fishing Manager. Kevin is no stranger to the Orvis team, having worked at Orvis San Francisco in 2004-2005. After leaving for a time to follow other pursuits, Kevin returned to the company recently. Kevin is an avid fly fisher and has fished the Sierras and throughout Northern California. He is also a cyclist, hockey player, photographer, and dad.
