Here’s an incredible story about a rescue dog given a new lease on life via the kindness of strangers. Skip, a pit bull from Merced, California, lost a paw as a result of infection after his previous owners bandaged his leg too tightly to fix what they thought was a broken leg. They brought Skip to the Merced Veterinary Clinic, but couldn’t afford his care. The dog was scheduled to be euthanized when one of the clinic’s employees stepped in to adopt him.

Fast forward a year, and a local prosthetics company designed an donated a new paw. It’s a heartwarming story, and it even has a Hollywood connection.
