Fewer (Human) Babies, More Dogs!

For those of us whose dogs are our babies, this will come as no surprise: while birth rates in the US have fallen 10% since 2007, ownership of small dogs (under 20 pounds) has more than doubled since 1999.

Though this article claims that means we’re caring for dogs instead of human children, that is of course not necessarily true. Still though – it’s wonderful more people are making these “furry children” a part of their families!
