Kids Raise Money for Dog Hit by Drunk Driver

Here’s a story of how children can react with love and compassion in the face tragedy. When a married couple was killed by a drunk driver while they were out walking their dog in Belmont, California, Teddy the dog survived with grave injuries. Students from a local private school leaped into action to help Teddy, by raising funds for his veterinary bills. They are selling tickets for a chance to guess the number of candy corn pieces in a jar, with all proceeds going to Teddy.

It’s a small gesture but shows how big the kids’ hearts are and how much they love dogs.
