A shelter in Israel that specializes in taking in breeds considered “dangerous” by the public has found a unique way to raise money for its important work. Dino’s House was founded last year and now houses some 25 dogs—including Pit Bulls, Rottweilers, and American Staffordshire Terriers—whose breeds are on a list created by the Agriculture Ministry. Founder Dudu Martziano rescues the dogs and then rehabilitates them so they can be adopted into loving homes.
But you need funds to do that kind of work, so Martziano created the “Chicks for Pits” project to produce a calendar that recreates vintage glamour shots. . .but with the models sharing the frame with dogs. Everyone involved in the project volunteered their time and labor to help the dogs in Dino’s House.
