Video: Meet Goldie, the University of Tulsa’s New Four-Legged Ambassador

A great story on Tulsa World focuses on the cutest new member of the University of Tulsa football program. The folks behind the decision to bring on Goldie, a five-month-old Golden Retriever, recognized that everybody loves a beautiful dog and that Goldie will be a wonderful ambassador for both the university and its sports programs:

And when she’s not at Chapman Stadium, she’ll be a significant part of TU’s community service goals, visiting nursing homes and children’s hospitals and even schools. Acebo said she anticipates Goldie will be a regular at nearby Kendall-Whittier Elementary School.

“That’s still evolving,” Acebo said, “but obviously this is going to be an enhancement to everything the university is doing right now, particularly with regard to our community outreach efforts and our True Blue Neighbors program.”
