Written by: Phil Monahan

I was out of the office for a couple of weeks, so we did not have any new episodes of the podcast to publish. Hopefully I can make it up to you with a double feature this week with two listener-requested topics.

Matching the Hatch Part 2: Five More Tips

In the fly box section this week we discuss a couple tackle maintenance items (cork grips and fly lines) and some tips on how to learn from some “old school” techniques.

In the main part of the podcast, we learn more about hatches and how to deal with them, especially on how to collect insect specimens and what to do with them once you’ve otained them.

The recent Rosenbauer podcast on fishing upstream or downstream was excellent. I never had a good idea of the pros and cons of each approach in different water until listening to this. Orvis is always on my radar thanks to the podcast.

Absolutely love the podcast, but have to admit I have great difficulty finding info on the podcast on orvisanything.com… even getting to enter this reply was a challenge. Please work with your Web developers to get a direct link and then advertise that during the podcast
