Take a Classic Phil Monahan Fly-Fishing Trivia Challenge 06.04.14

Written by: Phil Monahan

Welcome to another edition of our fly-fishing trivia challenge, where we test your knowledge of all things fly fishing and where you might learn a thing or two about this sport we love. This one’s a classic, and it requires you to know a little about a lot of things.

The scores on last week’s Trivia Challenge were pretty average. The most common score was 70%, and there were just four perfect scores. Congrats to LaurenL, Keith, Kurt Schield, and Denver Braun!

The randomly chosen winner of this week’s quiz will receive a copy of Great Fishing Lodges of North America by Paul Fersen, a gorgeous coffee-table book. The winner of our last quiz (as determined by random.org) was Denver Dan, who commented, “and I thought I was doing so good on this one. . .”

So, take this week’s quiz, and no matter how well or poorly you do, post your score in the comments below to be eligible to win a cool book.

Good luck!

Woof! Only 50% this week, and to think I just watched a River Runs Through it, and still got that one wrong!

90%. I missed # 7. Which, I think is the same question I missed when you posted this quiz the first time.

60% – I got caught on the Lefty Kreh sucker questions and three others that I just did not know.

60 sad %, don’t tell my kids that I didn’t study and did poorly, they will take my iphone away.

80%. Not too bad. A recent trip to the Catskills and the Fly Fishing Center there certainly help.

I’ll take a 70%. Although, I really should have gotten an 80% . . . through the Lefty Krey book was a trick question!
