Video: Casting 4 a Cure on the South Fork

Written by: Phil Monahan

Here’s a great video shot during a Casting 4 a Cure event in Victor, Idaho, last month. Floating the South Fork of the Snake with guides from WorldCast Anglers, these folks get into some excellent dry-fly and nymph action, while raising money for a great cause.

Casting 4 a Cure is a nonprofit organization that raises funds for research on Rett Syndrome, a childhood neurodevelopment disorder that affects young girls almost exclusively. Founded by Beth and Bill Farnum, whose daughter Ella suffers from Rett, and their friend Jim Copeland, Casting 4 a Cure holds fly-fishing events throughout the West and has so far raised more than $250,000. WordlCast Anglers’ Mike Dawkins, the guide featured in most of this video, sits on the C4C Advisory Board.
