Video: Largemouth Bass Fishing in “The Golden Hour”

Written by: Phil Monahan

Here’s a killer video about fly-fishing for bass during that magic time as the sun drops below the horizon. Here’s how the filmmakers describe it:

This film is about that special time that happens everyday as the night closes in. It is a magical time to be outdoors to take in all the wonders of life, including the spectacular top water bass fishing in the evening. Check it out to see Largemouth Bass fly through the air at over 240 frames per second in cinematic beauty.

I love the way the narration and the video style shift gears at about:58. Make sure you don’t give up on this one too soon, for it’s a brilliant segue.

As a dedicated warm water fly fisher, this clip made my day. Nothing against trout but if I see one more Rainbow being caught in New Zealand with mountains in the background etc. I’m going to develop a permanent tic in my left eye.
