One of the joys of turkey hunting is how friendly it is for a youth hunter. The audio aspect of a gobbling Tom combined with the visuals of a fortunate hunter watching a show is something every kid who has the desire should get to see. This is the time of year when you start the process of sharing an experience with a youth hunter.
I met this young man, Noah, two years prior to these pictures being taken. I did not know his family prior to our introduction in the turkey woods. Nobody in the family hunts, but the son had a desire to hunt. I met them because I went into our local hunting supply store and told the owner I would be willing to take a youth hunter out if there was a need. He said he knew of a boy who wanted to go and that he would have them call me.
It took us two years of youth weekends to have great luck, but finally it happened. . .and what a hunt it was!
