Sometimes even nice girls get tough breaks! Just about this time last year, Mona was abandoned and wandering the streets of South Philadelphia. She was rescued by the Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society (PAWS), but in spite of being a sweet-tempered little bundle of energy, potential families kept passing her by.

Her time at PAWS wasn’t wasted. In addition to receiving medical care to ensure she was in tip-top shape, she charmed her way into the hearts of the staff, and perfected her skills at playing fetch.

One day a father and son visited the shelter, and you know what they say about love at first sight! It’s like what your Mom always told you… sometimes you just have to wait for the right one! Mona found the men of her dreams, and is now happily playing fetch with them in Levittown, PA.

PAWS is one of the shelters supported by the Petfinder Foundation through an Orvis Customer Matching Grant. To find out how you can help us share more happy tails, visit Petfinder.
