Nice overall rod.
I bought a 8'6" 4 piece 5wt. It casts very well for the price and is a great utility rod. I it my "go to" rod for most of my fishing trips. It is also hard to tell it is a 4 piece rather than a 2 piece.

Great Rod
I've used my 8'6" 5wt Clearwater rod throughout the mountains of Colorado, in the Cascades of Washington, and throughout the Oregon and it's never failed me. Others have noted that the 5wt is too middle of the road for a trout rod, but it's been absolutely perfect for me in a variety of conditions and locations when huntin' rainbows or browns. It's a great rod for the money no matter if you're a beginner or expert fly fisherman.

Solid purchase
Took this out for the first time and it worked great! Did well with ice on it as well. I bought the Clearwater rod as a package and it all works together well. A great introductory rod that I'm guessing will last for many years to come, be a great travel rod, and a good learner for others.

The fly rod broke twice, once while testing it on a roll cast, and another when using it 3 days later on a branch. It is very smooth and great action but I see why there is a warranty on it as this rod will break several times creating an inconvenience.
