I have bought this book twice. It's that good! I bought the first one over 30 years ago when I was in college. Unfortunately, it got destroyed. Two years ago, I got back into fly fishing after a 20 year break, and I bought it again. It has great illustrations and common sense tips. It is a very easy read, and one that I recommend to all ages.

All three items I purchased complimented each other and will get a lifetime usage out of them.

There are a lot of instructional fly fishing books out there, but this is the best one, bar none. Great illustrations, logical and easy to follow instructions. Both beginners and advanced anglers can benefit from this book. If my cast starts to go south or I need to get back to basics on reading the water or fly presentations, I go back to this book.
An Excellent Primer -

Lest we forget we fish for fun, this little book offers humorous reading for all, consumable lessons for neophytes, and pointed refreshers for the rusty barbs.
Must have for beginners -

This was recommended to me many years ago when I started to learn fly fishing after moving out west. I'm a visual learner so the method in which the content is delivered made learning the knots and mechanics of fly fishing that much easier. If you want a quick easy instructional guide to the basics then Curtis Creek Manifesto is your best bet. Enjoy! Bill Werle
