Not tough enough!
I bought the large bed for my 2 year old lab and 10 month old cavapoo to share. My lab absolutely adores it and lounges in it all day!
Unfortunately, the cavapoo had chewed a hole in the material within 10 minutes of opening. He's a tiny dog and not a huge chewer so, if you're attracted to this for the chew proof material, I wouldn't bother. I have to say that Orvis is shipping a new one with no quibble whatsoever but it's still a bit of a faff.
Unfortunately I've had to give the review 1 star for that reason - it's not living up to its description.

My dog has been using this bed for 2 weeks and other than his embroider name which he chewed the rest of the material appears to be a strong durable product

Well-Made and Good Looking Dog Bed
I really hoped my 1-1/2 year old Springer Spaniel wouldn't be able to chew up this bed but, alas, no luck. Disappointed because this was NOT an inexpensive purchase. I would have given it 5 stars because it is good quality and attractive.

Cute, Cozy & durable!
We bought the deep dish tough dog bed, not believing there would be a cozy dog bed that our dog would not chew through. We have a malinois and she loves her dog beds but always destroys them...this one has lasted so far, it's been about 2 weeks!

Perfect for the Restless Pooch
Perfect bed for the puppy or adult dog that likes to chew. The size is prefect based upon Orvis' size recommendation. And if the pup chews it up, like my dog did with his first bed, Orvis shipped me a new one. By that time the dog was older and less interested in chewing everything he could get his mouth on.

Hasn't tore it up yet.
Our blue tick coon hound tore up about 5 dog beds before we bought this one. He hasn't tore it up yet. Although, he was using it as leverage to get out of his play pen so we have put it up for the moment. He did tear up the monogram so keep that in mind when you add it that it could come off.

Follow-up to "So Far Great" below
I remembered to follow up and can happily say that despite all of the other dog beds we had in the house (RIP), this is the only one standing up to our Mastiff Mix! For some reason he actually doesn't try to chew it nearly as much - probably a mix between how comfortable it appears to be for him and him realizing he can't make a dent. Statement confirmed - Humans 1, Dogs 0!
