sweet line!
This rod makes you feel like a pro! Its pretty incredible to be able to cast this thing so easily. The textured aspect doesn't make much noise. (some, but not to a distracting level) The distance and precision this line provides is pretty incredible. I've tried it with a couple rods and have had some great experiences with this line.

smooth as silk through the eye holes
I picked this up about a month ago and put it on my new 3wt. I didn't think it would allow me to cast father, but it does! used it with dries for brookies in the morning and bass in the afternoon with a weighted shiner...I was impressed.

Flies out of the rod tip
When I started using this line (6 wt. for landlocked salmon) I found I wasn't stripping enough off the reel. I kept shooting all the line resulting in the dreaded bounce-back. It took a while to adapt to how far this line shoots. Well worth the extra cost. About to purchase a second for my 5 wt. Will probably buy another for the 4 wt. soon.

Pretty good stuff!
This line works pretty well in 20 degree weather! I can't wait until it gets a little warmer where I can launch it way out there! For now, I will have to deal with the ice on the guides. It did pull the fish right on in w/o problems.

Good line, easy mending and casting. Maybe I'm just unlucky but this is the second line from Orvis that I've had issues with the welded loop. After a month or decent fishing, the welded loop was destroyed. I've never had this issue with RIO Lines. I took a chance with the HD when I bought the access reel after having a welded loop break on the salmon/steelhead line. Probably should've went with my gut on this one and gone with RIO or Airflo. Besides the loop issues the line is adequate.

Orvis products
I have known an Orvis guide for sometime now and always valued his opinion. When he let me cast his H2 with this line I fell I had to have it. It's smooth through the guides and effortless helping you pinpoint your drift. The next purchase will be the H2 even though it would be hard to put down the Recon. Leaders and Tippett, none better than Orvis!
