Orvis CEO Perk Perkins helped design this bag to meet the needs of the traveling angler. With his blessing, we have updated this bag to be even more user friendly. Rods are stored in a separate, padded compartment in the top. The bottom half has adjustable dividers and is designed to hold other critical gear like reels, lines, fly boxes, sunglasses, pliers, and terminal tackle. Unique shoulder strap allows the bag to be carried in a number of ways, making those long walks in the airport a little easier. Designed to be carried on airplanes, the bag is rugged enough to be checked if necessary. Nylon is coated along the bottom of the pack for increased water resistance. Nylon. Imported.

Great Bag!! Fits everything you need
I have the larger version of this bag and it truly carries it all. Just got back from a trip and carried three rods, 4 reels, 3 medium fly boxes, a boat box, camera equipment and still have room for more! Got it through TSA on both of my flights and had no problem fitting it in the overhead bin on the plane. Can't recommend this bag enough for travelling anglers!

Required Gear
Bought the medium. Great bag for anybody who travels with more than one rod and reel. Also good for keeping gear organized at home. One side of the bag for rods in a zipped/ padded area. The other side adjustable dividers allow you to customize your storage. Highly recommend.

Great product!
I got the larger version of this carry all and I am so happy with it. I wish the upper compartment was large enough to keep several rods in their tubes. However, with the adjusting capabilities this piece incorporates I am able to use the lower section and have the top filled with other goodies. I am now able to take 3 rods, matching reels, extra spools and all flies and leaders to camp or the river and have them all in one organized place! It is perfect for what I needed/wanted.

Great travel bag for anglers that like options
A lot of times when I'm fishing familiar trout tailwaters I like to switch up my rod depending on the day and application. I usually like to always carry a 3, 4, 5, and 6wt rod in my car with me and, if you think about it, that means I need a spooled reel for each rod as well. After you account for various types of tippet, leaders, split shot, strike indicators, sunscreen, lip balm gloves, extra fly boxes, small maps, a Buff, polarized sunglasses and a casting shirt, you really do need a solid bag to store all of your stuff.
Fortunately, this bag is made specifically for that purpose. It's big enough to fit everything I listed above but small enough that it's a breeze to transport. Throw it on a boat or on the bank without worrying about water seeping into it; it's VERY water resistant. I cannot think of another way I would want to store and organize all of my gear on the go.
Lastly, the strap attaches/detaches for if/when you want or need to use it.

Recently got a smaller vehicle and my fishing equipment was a cluttered mess in the back. With this case I can organize everything and carry much more. Thanks for a great product.

Safe Passage Carry it all - that says it all!
The carry all does indeed carry it all - rods, reels, and every other accessory you'd want to carry along on the road. Not to bring to the shore line, but certainly with you for the trip. The larger size will hold at least 6 rods (up to 11ft, 4 section). You could probably squeeze more - as well as a nice combination of reels and spare spools as well as accessories - there is a lot of room. The workmanship lives up to Orvis standards - I would expect no less. I purchased extra dividers.
If I had to complain it would be the fact that the upper compartment for the rods will not accommodate more than just a couple of rods in their tubes. I know that for most of us there is no need to pack the rods in their tubes in this carry all. However, if you do have a few of the Helios high end rods, you may want that extra room to pack that extra protection for longer trips. Also, I mentioned earlier that I bought the extra divers and I'm glad I did although I think Orvis should have provided them as part of the package.
Otherwise, another great product from Orvis.
