Zips need to be bigger to pass a lock through them
A 9ft 4piece Clearwater rod in a tube with a zip top only fits in the case if you zip open the tube and bend the top back
Screw top tubes no problem but this type of tube only comes with a more expensive rod.

Excellent product
I have now used this piece of luggage multiple times. It holds up well. Wheels are still working fine. Strong handles. Great pockets and zippers. The compartments are perfectly sized.
It also works great for storage and organization.

Great Travel Bag
Nice to get rods in the bottom compartment. It would be great if they put a divider in it to protect rods that are not in tubes and adjustable reel compartments like their fly rod travel case.. A little heavy at 9+ pounds but overall a great bag.

Purchased 2 bags (one each) for travel from Phoenix to Canada for a 9 day fishing trip in August 2015. We fit in our waders, wading boots, and clothes/shoes for 9 days of fishing during the day & nice dinners in the evenings. We were amazed at how much stuff we could pack into it. Checking them on the airline was no hassle & they weighed 45 lbs fulled loaded. We had no problem with the wheels, but have only taken them on the 1 trip. Have to be mindful when you pack to ensure heavy items are on the bottom so they don't tip when you stand them up. We packed our rods & reels in the "carry it all" & took it as carry-on for the "precious items" see our separate review - and we loved it too.

Great for fishermen or anyone
I used this bag for a trip from Utah to Alaska in August 2015 and was quite happy with its performance. It is of the largest dimensions Delta accepts without extra fees and really does hold wading boots, waders, and a 4 piece, 9 foot fly rod, along with clothes and other basics. It shows no wear after this first trip. Having handles on each side is very convenient for fitting it into different vehicles and spaces. I do wish that the wheels would spin in all directions as this makes for a super smooth motion in your chosen direction.

Great Bag!
This is the bag I've been looking for. I'm able to carry my waders, boots, vest, 2 rods, and more clothes than I'd ever need on a trip. It'll be accompanying me on lots of trips as long as the airlines don't lose it.
