This is one of the most essential fly patterns to have early in the season.

Another super realistic stonefly pattern which is an excellent fly for the early season when trout are just beginning to feed aggressively after the winter. Crawl this fly along the bottom as if headed for the water's edge. One of the most realistic patterns out there. Color, Black.

Excellent imitation of a stone. Great fly for prospecting or when the stones are out in full swing. This goes for teds golden stone also.

Stone Fly looks just like I remember seeing on the Deschutes in Oregon. I won't be able to try them in Maryland until it warms up in March.

    On the Battenkill - 8/15/2011

I was fishing the Battenkill mid summer late evening and was getting skunked with everything from streamers to various nymph patterns, I tied one of these on and almost immediatly hooked up with a nice brown. I spent the rest of the evening catching instead of sulking.

    Great Fly - 6/6/2011
    By: from Bethlehem, Pa

Bought these flies because they are very close to the stone flies found in the Bushkill in the Pocono's. These flies catch trout. I have all three sizes 8, 10, and 12.
