Region/Terrain Where you Hunt

Brush Creek Ranch is located on 15,000 acres of private ranch land in the Platte River Valley, in between the Sierra Madre and Snowy Mountain ranges and next door to the million-acre Medicine Bow National Forest. Enjoy your wingshooting adventure in this high desert country, ranging in elevation from 5,000 to 8,000 feet, where terrain consists of flat to rolling meadowlands and sagebrush steppe, unique rock outcroppings, food plots, and wide open range with stunning vistas in every direction.

Typical Weather by Season

Wyoming weather is characterized by its extremes, with hot, dry summers and cold, snowy winters, but more often than not the vast open skies overhead are blue and sunny throughout the year. The fall season offers fantastic weather for bird hunting, with cool mornings, and comfortable afternoon temperatures at around 60 degrees. Overall Wyoming has less precipitation and is more windy than the rest of the U.S, but the best advice for visitors is to dress in layers and come prepared for wet or cold weather. In any season, staying hydrated and having chapstick and a good hand lotion are recommended for the high altitude and dry climate.

Best pheasant hunt ever! - 10/16/2014
    By:

The cliff shoot that we experienced at Brush Creek Ranch was fantastic. It provided countless challenging shots and all participants had a blast. The birds were released from a cliff overlooking the river and we were positioned between the river and the cliffs for our shooting. In addition, the afternoon was a walk up shoot. The dogs worked perfectly, flushed the birds, and we were able to have a nice afternoon shoot. The staff was extremely helpful and courteous. Lunch was fantastic and I will come back for many more hunts.

    By: from Saratoga, WY

We had a wonderful time at this spectacular ranch in Wyoming. With multiple streams and rivers, thousands of acres and some of the finest shooting and archery ranges in any resort, there was never a shortage of activities. Even the hikes through the property were special. Hunting and fishing are just outside your door.

    Best fishing/hunting lodge ever - 7/28/2014
    By: from Atlanta, GA

I had the pleasure to visit Brush Creek Ranch in mid July. I had heard about the place but never imagined it would actually be that nice. The accommodations, food, and facilities are top notch. The setting is so beautiful - rock formations and mountain views are really neat. I fished with guide Matt Anderson. I brought a friend who never fished before. The guides were so patient with him and now he's hooked. Brush Creek is an amazing place to fish - had one of the best fishing days ever. The staff at the ranch are so nice - always asking if they can do more. The kids enjoyed all the daily activities which are plentiful. The gun range is by far the nicest I've ever seen. And to top it off, their Spa facilities is the level of a Ritz Carlton and it's in Wyoming! Next year I am bringing the entire family as well as some friends so they can experience the ranch. What a special place.
