When Mysis Shrimp were introduced to lakes throughout Colorado in the early 1980s, the goal was to enhance food supplies for resident trout. Thriving on the influx of new nutrition, tailwater trout in rivers below the lakes were quickly transformed into the fish of legend. Notoriously leader shy and hard to catch, fish on the Blue, Taylor, and Frying Pan Rivers have been know to fall prey to this nearly translucent pattern.
