    Great Time! - 10/31/2015

We had an outstanding day on the water with Capt. Tom Hughes this past week. We caught 104 strippers, not bad for a day on the water. Capt. Tom worked very hard for us as we searched for great fishing spots. He found them and we were pulling in fish on every cast of our fly rods. The best was the top action on poppers, very cool seeing them take it. Many thanks to Capt. Tom and his wife would made a tasty lunch for us. We look forward to fishing with Capt. Tom again.

Had a fabulous day on the Bay with Tom and my friends.Went out on 10/6 just after the Noreaster but the day was excellent: sunny, calm waters and just a terrific conditions and the fish were totally cooperative!! We caught stripers just about the whole day. Tom really knows where to find 'em. He's a excellent captain.

    By: from Morgantown, WV

We had a great half day fishing September 18th on the bay with Tom. Tom is a great guide and person. We were on fish the entire time, both of us reeling in one or two fish constantly. We defiantly highly recommend Tom as a professional experienced guide.

    Unforgettable trip!!! - 9/23/2015

Captain Hughes is a really experienced and knowledgable guide and maintains the enthusiasm and energy of someone half his age. I went out for a full day trip with him and two of my friends and although it the weather was poor and we were battling rain we kept going strong and managed to find the fish and caught a combined total of over 200 stripers and blue fish

    What a day! - 9/21/2015
    By: from Lancaster, PA

Sept 16th, 2015. Three of us left Sandy Point at 7 AM with high expectations and a beautiful day! The fish had other ideas that morning. In spite of his best efforts, Capt Tom couldn't find them until noon. But what an afternoon it was! Estimating 150 fish, three keeper stripers plus at least a dozen 19's. Maybe a dozen keeper blues and even a larger white perch at the end of the day. Tom stayed on the water well past quitting time. He put over 70 miles on his boat that day! We have never experienced a Captain who works so hard for us! Already can't wait until next year!

    Striper Chasin - 8/25/2015
    By: from Chesapeake Bay Bridge

Great day in August with Capt Tom. Left from Sandy Point @ 7 and were catchin surface stripers off Rock Hall by 8. Capt Tom had us on the birds and we (2 of us) were pullin in fish as fast as we could cast. All under 20" but you could not have a better fishin day. We totaled over 50 fish. We later in the morning and early afternoon tried for perch but nothin biting, so we went back for stripers around the bridge pilings. Got into them again, then on the last cast of the day caught the only keeper, a good size blue which gave a good fight. Capt Tom kept us on the water past our allotted time and we went home tired and satisfied, great day. Capt Tom provides a great sport fishin experience and maintains the enthusiasm of a man half his age.

Good Day on the Bay - 7/17/2015
    By: from Odenton, MD, USA

My son-in-law and I book a day's fishing with Captain Tom Hughes. While I have been fishing all my life(65+ years), my son-in-law is new to the sport. I wanted him to have a good experience hoping that we would have more days on the water together. Captain Hughes filled the bill. He is knowledgeable, his boat and equipment is in excellent condition, he gave us a safety briefing which included the required wearing of inflatable life preservers. Most especially, he is a good instructor. He was a patient teacher and coach for Keith throughout the day. He gave me some excellent tips on reading sonar and fishing on the bay. We fished hard all day. Unfortunately the fish were not in the biting mood. We caught a few stripers; but we more importantly we had a great day on the water. My son-in-law and I will definitely fish with Captain Hughes again!

Best Fishing of My Life - 7/17/2015
    By: from State College, PA

Two friends and I scheduled a trip with Capt Tom in June to target Stripers with light tackle. Capt Tom kept us moving around to various spots he knew as we looked to get into a school of fish. Fishing was moderate but solid most of the day and we hooked up with a couple nice ones, including a 29" beauty. After lunch (provided by Capt Tom) and a tide shift, we finally found what we were looking for and caught about 70 Stripers in an hour and a half. It was almost every cast and it was a blast. Capt Tom knows where the fish should be and knows how to find them if they are there. He was a great guide and provided us the best fishing day of our lives. We would highly recommend him services.
