Very Comfy and Resistant -
By: Ziggy04 from Panama, Panama
I purchased this bed for my GSP. It's been 4 years and it is still as comfy as in the beginning. The fabric is also very easy to wash and resistant. Just now it has begun to show some minor tear (easily fixed). My dog loves it so much, we roll it up and haul it for every trip. I think we're about ready to buy a new one.
Not a good product -
Please stop selling this bed as advertised, This bed does not stand up to a dog that chews, Lasted only one day, Three seperate holes.
Not Tough Enough -
By: LabOwner2 from Garden City, NY
Unfortunately, my 1.5 year old Labrador chewed through the corner of the bed 15 minutes after it was removed from the box. Otherwise, it's a nice comfy looking bed with soft material. Orvis stands behind their products and offered to send out a replacement cover or refund my money. Thank you, Orvis.
A Great Purchase -

I have a young bird dog and she is still chewing on things. The ToughChew bed is the most helpful bed we have tried. It does have a small hole or two after 3 months, but mostly she has ignored the bed. It is a worthwhile purchase.
great purchase -

So far dogs love it. Seems to be very durable, extra heavy duty zipper and covered well for the curious little guys that like to find them to start their chewing. Only been a few weeks but this will last alot longer than any other "CHEW PROOF" bed you will find.
Bulldog Proof!! -
This tough chew dog bed has provided great relief to his owners. Riley the English Bulldog has chewed through every dog bed and blanket, not to mention every toy since arriving.
Not quite chew proof -
By: Dccopel from Oviedo, Fl
Love the bed but our rescue Golden Retriever loves it more! Had an old tough chew bed that had gone through two puppies but our new girl is something else. Orvis did refund my 1st bed and I purchased the new. Said they would refund this one and I can purchase new. They are great on their policy and I appreciate it. But don't expect a miracle bed!
Buy this bed before any other! -

WOW! This bed has been worth every penny! Our Great Dane Duke will be a year old in 2 weeks and he's chewed his way through 6 or 7 beds before this one, we lost track. We spent WELL over the same money it cost for this bed. If we were to get a puppy again, we would most definitely START with this bed right off the bat! I've actually recommended it to several people as well. I will say that the stuffing settles pretty quickly with a 100 lb. dog so we just went to Joanne Fabric and bought a box of the fiber fill and added to the stuffing and he's very content. Other than peeing on it the first 5 minutes we put it in his pen, it does have a funny smell when you first get it, since it's been washed he hasn't tried to chew it at all. Wish we would've found it sooner!
Have this bed in Kippy's crate -
I have this in my dog's crate. My dog is a champion chewer. I think that if he tried, he could get through this bed cover with no problem. The reason I am giving this a 5 star review is because he is not tempted to chew it because the texture is wrong. Its a soft bed cover, similar to velvet, but it isn't plush enough to encourage my dog to chew the cover. I put some egg crate foam in the cover. I have found that the poly-fill inserts don't offer enough support. My dog ADORES his crate and often goes into it for some quiet time. Thank you Orvis!
Like a balloon -
By: Ruffandtumble from Herts, England
And that's so disappointing for the price - Orvis dog beds are not cheap! My setters won't go near this as the filling holds air until pressed down - the bed has the consistency of a partially deflated balloon. This means the dog has to tentatively step up, and I mean up, onto the bed and use it body weight to lie down and wait for the air trapped in the polyester to s-l-o-w-l-y expel before they can get the snuggled, supported feeling. My boys don't like this at all, so for them, the bed is ignored. I've never seen a dog bed like it. This is a shame, as the cover and zip are quality as described. I has persevered for a week but I will see if this bed can be exchanged for perhaps a memory foam one.
