Casts well; easy to manage -
I fish lines made by three of the major brands, and find the Orvis lines to shoot as well, if not better, than the others. This specific line is used for subsurface presentations to large fish (tarpon, large jacks, cobia, etc.); no problem shooting or turning over leaders with sinking flies.

The line was very stiff and had a lot of memory even at room temp. The associate at my local store acknowledged the fact that "clear tip lines tend to do that." I received a full refund with no hassle, and for that I recommend Orvis to everyone.
Not good for Cold Water -

The line was stiffer than the rod itself. No amount of pulling would straighten it out. Un-castable at all. Tangles itself and jams through the guides because of it. Disappointed my Coho and Chum fishing day. It was 0-7 Celsius throughout the fishing day. Perhaps the line would be better for warmer days.

I used this line in estauries for stripers. It easily loaded my tip flex T3 7wt. I fish in all kinds of weather and I was pleased with the way it performed in all conditions.
