Ty grew up fishing the many well known and also not so well known central Pennsylvania streams. After finishing high school he left small town Pennsylvania for a life of adventure and travel with the Marine Corps. After he was honorably discharged he settled down on the shores of Long Island where he was introduced to the amazing pursuit of saltwater gamefish with the fly rod. Leaving Long Island for Boston he has found a career with Orvis that really lets him bring the sport he is so passionate about to others. Ty brings to Orvis not only a knowledge of fly fishing the local water of the northeast coast but also many locals throughout the U.S., Venezuela, Mexico, and Spain.
