Charlotte, North Carolina Store Manager: TJ Roy
TJ’s passion for the sport of fly fishing and the Orvis lifestyle has driven his career path since college. Upon graduating in 2004, TJ started with the company at our location in Chicago. After serving as both Fishing Manager and Store Manager in the Windy City, TJ moved back to his native state to open the Charlotte store. His fishing pursuits have taken him to the great trout rivers of the West, the flats of the Caribbean, the small streams of the Appalachians, and he is a fanatical Midwestern steelhead fisherman.
Charlotte, North Carolina Fly Fishing Manager: Jamie Dickinson
Jamie has worked in the Fly Fishing Industry since 1987, having worked for Orvis in Manchester VT as a Fishing and Shooting Instructor from 1987 through 1990. After leaving Orvis, he moved to Charlotte in 1991 and during this time has taught numerous schools and clinics around the Southeast and at the Fly Fishing Show in Charlotte. He rejoins Orvis with over 20 years of southeastern fly fishing experience in addition to his expertise in the fisheries of New England, the Bahamas and the southern Rockies. He is in charge of our Wingshooting and Hunting Departments, will be our Lead Instructor at our one- and two-day Fishing Schools, and will host trips as well.
