Early season stoneflies are generally the first significant feeding opportunity for trout. This fly is among the excellent searching patterns for the first part of the season and can be drifted under an early season stonefly dry. In the first part of the season in the east, the Taeniopterx and the Brachytera stoneflies are the first to come out and can be fished when the water is in the mid to high 40's. Color, Black.
