Details: Ben Turpin, an Orvis Endorsed Guide, designed this fly to imitate the actual size of a trout egg and to have a hook that was barely visible to the trout. This trout fly is best fished in a tandem rig with another egg with the flies about 8 inches apart and a small split shot between them. Two eggs rolling along the bottom always work better than one. Turpin says this fly fishing tactic usually produces some of his largest trout each year. Trout fly colors in red, peach, pink.
