Region/Terrain Where you Hunt

Guests are granted exclusive access to the collection of historic private ranchlands under the Brush Creek Ranch family of ranches, which totals 30,000 acres in the Platte River Valley, in between the Sierra Madre and Snowy Mountain ranges and next door to the million-acre Medicine Bow National Forest. Enjoy your wingshooting adventure in this high desert country, ranging in elevation from 5,000 to 8,000 feet, where terrain consists of flat to rolling meadowlands and sagebrush steppe, unique rock outcroppings, food plots, and wide open range with stunning vistas in every direction.

Typical Weather by Season

Wyoming weather is characterized by its extremes, with hot, dry summers and cold, snowy winters, but more often than not the vast open skies overhead are blue and sunny throughout the year. The fall season offers fantastic weather for bird hunting, with cool mornings, and comfortable afternoon temperatures at around 60 degrees. Overall Wyoming has less precipitation and is more windy than the rest of the U.S, but the best advice for visitors is to dress in layers and come prepared for wet or cold weather. In any season, staying hydrated and having chapstick and a good hand lotion are recommended for the high altitude and dry climate.
