I am very happy with these shoes. My feet are comfortable all day. I am not using them to hike around the woods but I don't think that's what these are for. I walk the dog and go about my daily routine in these. I am wearing the Orvis invicible wool socks with these and they are a good combination. These shoes have good arch support although not too much. I like these shoes and would buy them again.
Terribly uncomfortable -

I bought these having been pleased with other Patagonia products over the years and needing new light hikers. But these are awful. Not only did they not breathe well, unlike other light hikers I own, but they were stiff and hard, and terribly uncomfortable after only a few hours. On a recent trip to northern Italy, my feet ached so badly after three days, that I had to resort to using simple running sneakers. Due to travel conditions, I was forced to leave them behind at a campsite, otherwise I would have immediately returned them for a full refund -- and an apology from Patagonia for producing such a terrible shoe.
These are very uncomfortable -

They looked very nice, but after wearing them for only 10 hrs of work my legs started to get sore behind my knees. They have very little stability, it felt like the heels of my feet could just pop out when walking. I sent them in for a refund.

SUV of shoes -

I hesitated, and waited for a reason to justify spending so much on a pair of shoes. Over the years I've realized and forgotten then realized again, that a good pair of shoes feels better and lasts much longer than many pairs of lesser quality. I've worn these on and off for a few weeks and have been happy with their dressy appearance with a casual lean, their comfort and their traction in inclement weather. I am having thoughts of eventually buying the similar hiking boot version of this shoe. :)
Comfortable and holding up great -
These low hikers have been comfortable from day one, surprisingly so. They're worn 3-4 days per week in field work and have proven very durable thus far. Wear with a good hiking sock like Smartwool, though the sizing is true.
