I just got my bowls today. I purchased two, one for food and one for water. I do understand previous reviewers did not like the bowls because the were too deep and therefore not elevated enough, but I found a huge bonus. Because of the depth, my little lip flapping, gobbling eater does not get food particles spread all over the feeding area. I no longer have kibble bit chunks on the floor and cabinets. The bowl is so deep that all the slurp residue stays inside the bowl! Yea! Looks great and requires way less clean up.,Considering this is a very large dog bowl you would think it would be a lot taller. I read the dimensions and carelessly figured the height was the right size for my lab. This is a deep bowl so a big dog will not have a raised feeder. The bottom sits just a few inches from the ground. However, I think it's a great looking bowl I just wish the legs were longer.,This bowl is exactly what I was looking for...a big ceramic bowl for a water dish. The ceramic bowl keeps the water cooler longer and the 3 quart capacity is great for this AZ heat. It looks awesome too. I agree with prior reviews that this wouldn't be a good food dish for a tall dog; it's too deep but it makes a perfect water bowl. I love the design of the stand - fits perfectly in my kitchen decor. Now, if they'd make a two quart on a taller stand for a food dish, I'd really be happy!,This bowl is great! It's heavy and I love how it looks. I read the reviews beforehand and knew it was really deep. I decided to use it as a water bowl, as some other reviewers have done and I love it. It's high enough to reduce the strain on the dogs and deep so I have to refill less often. Plus, it was on sale!,This dog bowl stays put! While it is rather heavy, it is worth it! I had a previous raised feeder that was a siler metal bowl in black metal stand, and when my dogs ate out of them they made so much noise from the metal on metal moving. This bowl stays put, and doesn't make a sound! And it's VERY nicely designed - looks warm and comfortable in its place in my kitchen! :o) I would recommend this to everyone thinking about a raised feeder!
