    jig head nymph - 3/31/2015

I used this hook in tying( Kenny's )copper john nymph for a trip to British Columbia. My friend would fish dry flies in the various holes and then I would go through with the jig head. I cleaned up with the number of cutthroat trout caught. The guys wanted the jig heads that I had left... The hook is excellent in tying nymphs. I highly recommend it.

    Great Hook - 2/17/2015

Works very well for jig style flies. Very sharp and holds up well. Would like to see the price on this type of hook come down a bit. Fishing this type of fly comes with a fair number of hook-ups on the bottom, so I lose more than average. It hurts when that happens more than with a standard hook (I see money lost to the river). But, I have caught many more fish since using them, so it's a trade off.

Bought some of these hooks recently with some slotted tungsten beads. Fished them today and worked well. They hook and hold and easy to remove.

Go to nymph hook - 4/23/2014

These hooks are strong and sharp, jig style so the hook rides up and you get less snags. I pair them with slotted tungsten beads to get the bead further forward for balance. Nice hooks!!

    jig head flies - 2/8/2014

I was surprised that I could use a 1/8 inch tungsten bead on this hook. The hook is really sharp. I like the wide gap and long sharp end.
