I have been dealing with Orvis for the past 25 years (more or less!?). I have always been extremely pleased with the quality and workmanship of the Orvis line. When a problem has occured, the costumer service reps are on the spot, cordial, and resolve the issue without complications. A big Thank You is in order.
ALLEN,I got one of these for my trip to Canada fishing for Pike. It was crazy how hard it is to work the tip where you attach the fly. You have to bend it exactly right and after a while you think when is this metal going to break. Then I got home and was using it a my local lake and went to put it on my 8wt and the metal end where you attach the fly had fallen off completely. I returned it to Orvis. They took it back and I used the credit to buy some more flies. It's a great concept, but a little work on the end of the line and this could be a good product.,Went pike fishing and hoped would be usefull to change flies without retying every time. the leader and titanium was fine, but the clasp was difficult to use, and would not fit the eye of some of the flies. Also after catching few fish the clasp got so bent up it became impossilbe to use without fixing it with pliers.,bought one to try out in the sea of cortez on little roosterfish. First cast was a strike...line separated at the joint where the poly joins the titanium. Goodbye fly, goodbye leader, goodbye FISH. Not happy.
