Nice at a sale price -

This shirt is nice. It is not a stretchy material, so you can feel it at your elbow then you move. It was nice at the sale price.
shortens up over time -
I got this over a year ago, but unlike other Orvis shirts (of which I've bought many), I've found that this has shrunk up shorter over time, even though it's been washed with darks.

An exceptionally comfortable and well made tee (as usual from Orvis). In fact, I have never ordered anything from Orvis that wasn't well made and lasting.
I love it! -

Good quality fabric which stays uncreased for the whole day. Loose fitting sleeves are comfortable and cool. How about another colour eg navy or a deep red?
Great shirt -

I am new to Orvis but have purchased this shrt among many other things lately. This particular shirt was purchased as I thought it had an artsy kind of feel to it. It was also made of cotton - no acrylics which I prefer to avaoid. It is very comfortable and I have received many compliments. 3/4 sleeves are new for me but getting use to them and really like them. The shirt can be dressed up as well as being quite casual. Terrific shirt! High recommended!

This shirt is comfortable and looks good. It travels well and washes and dries well. Fit is average for size, not large as many Orvis shirts. Perfect casual shirt.
|India Hand Block-Print Fabric|
The ancient art of hand block-printing
In the desert regions of Jaipur, artisans craft each one of our block-printed jackets by hand using centuries-old techniques that have been passed down for generations.
The Skill and Precision of Hand Block-Print
The process begins with the hand carving of a pattern’s design into wooden blocks. This laborious process must be repeated more often than one might imagine. Each block is used a mere 300 times before the precise lines become blurred. The old block is then discarded and a new block is carved. With the elaborate, delicate designs Orvis commissions for our jackets, the carvers are kept busy year-round.
Fabric is printed by hand using the same skill and precision. With a steady hand and even steadier patience, artists dip the block in dye and then apply the design to the fabric, taking care each time to line the patterns up. This is a skill few can master and the printers who excel in this talent are highly valued. The dyes are also made by hand, the dyers’ art being in the imaginative blends of earthen, vegetable and mineral contents they concoct to create the vivid reds, blues, greens, and yellows that are used for our fabrics.
