The Bible for Midges - 3/22/2013

There are several books out there for fishing and tying midges and this one is hands down my favorite. If I could only pick one this is it. It was designed to lay flat with spiral binding making it easier to keep open at your tying bench. This book was well thought out with the fly tyer in mind.

Best Fly Fishing Book of 2010 - 3/14/2011
    By: from Wyoming

The thing I like most about this book is the large variety of patterns that continue to stimulate my imagination at the tying bench. The Tips from the Masters section is great because several of the best known fly fisherman in the world write about how they fish midges and I counted over 100 contributors to the book. I was told, by Jerry at the IFTD Show in Denver last year, that 8 countries and 22 States are represented in the book and that Takahashi and Hubka spent many years collecting patterns and doing research for this fantastic book. If you don't have this book on your shelf, you are missing a very large part of fly fishing in the 21st Century. Midges hatch in every body of water every day of the year and, as the book states, "Trout eat midges, lots of midges."
