This is a fantastic upland shirt. It is rugged and and handsome. The all cotton material is of both quality and substance. The arms are reinforced with substantial material, as is the shooting patch, yet there is great flexibility for gun mount and swing. I purchased 2 of them while on sale and I hope Orvis continues to sell them.

TOP DRAWER FASHIONABLE FIELD SHIRT SUITABLE FOR CASUAL SUPPERS AT THE LODGE/CLUB WITH TIE OR CAN BE WORN TAIL OUT & UNBUTTONED AS A JACK SHIRT. I BOUGHT THIS MARKED DOWN AND WOULD RECOMMEND IT FOR ANY UTIILITY APPLICATION INCLUDING FIELD OR CONSTRUCTION WORKSITE. THE FRONT FLAP POCKET HAS A NEAT LITTLE SIDE OPENING SLEEVE PERFECT FOR A CELL PHONE OR SMALL MOTOROLA. THE SUBDUED EARTH TONES DON'T SHOW DIRT. IT'S ALWAYS A GOOD IDEA TO PUT A DOLLOP OF GLUE ON THE BUTTON THREADS SO THEY DON'T WORK LOOSE IN FIELD APPLICATIONS. SIZING IS GENEROUS SO YOU CAN WEAR LAYERS BENEATH IT. YOU CAN'T GO WRONG BUYING THIS ON SALE.

This shirt works wonders to keep you cool on those warm fall Georgia quail hunts.
Top notch upland shirt -

The quality, style and construction of this shirt make it perfect for an upland bird hunt. I wore it twice on my recent pheasant hunt in South Dakota. Great shirt!

Your classic hunting look. If you take off an outer blaze coat you are still covered with the bright orange. Of course, no place to stow the birds you kill but that is why you have a guide.

XXL tooo big, XL too big...what a terrific shirt and meets all I expect from Orvis but the cut of the shirt/size is just off and we have never had that in an Orvis product. Disappointed. My husband wears an XL but in this maybe he would wear a Lg but we decided not to try again.
Rugged and Functional -

Five days of pushing through the chapparal and rocks of the Superstition mountains were smooth sailing in this outstanding shirt. The fabric moves easily but shrugs snags and thorns easily. As the sun rose it breathed easily, and when the breezes came up in cut the chill nicely. I'll buy another one soon.
