Great jacket -
By: Pams from Charlotte
I own a Barbour quilted jacket, and bought this one for an upcoming hiking trip to Mt. Rainier. It is waterproof, and I like that it is slightly longer than most jackets. As is typical with Barbour jackets, I had to size up. Normally, I am a size 2 in jackets, but in Barbour, I purchased the size 6. The size 4 fit, but it was a little tight under the arms. A beautiful jacket.
Love Barbour but sizing issues -

I wanted a looser fit to layer so I went up to a size 14. Size 12 was also out of stock. I typically take a size 10 in most coats - occasionally a 12. The 14 was a bit wide in the waist but fit in the shoulders and arms which would have otherwise been a problem- especially with layers - in the 12. I think Barbour is super expensive but a nice treat once in a long while.
tight sleeves -

This is a lovely jacket, great color...I was really looking forward to wearing it, however, the sleeves are way too tight...I couldn't wear a sweater, or sweatshirt under it. Sadly, I'm returning it.
Since 1894, England's J. Barbour & Sons have produced clothes perfectly suited to life in the country. Their quality, durable clothing is cut for an active lifestyle and the fit varies according to each garment's design and purpose.
The sizing of Barbour’s clothing is divided into four classifications:
In the case of Barbour outerwear, sizing takes into account the appropriate layers beneath. That means you do not need to order a size up for a comfortable fit.
