Great Bag -
By: Judgringe from Ilkley
The bag arrived on time, and straight away when I unpacked it the quality was good, looks great. Good size for a day on the river, zippers have good lengths of plastic covered pull chord good for gloves in cold weather. The magnetic inserts are a little weak though, but my zinger went on with the safety pin attachment ok.
Really useful for the roving fisher -

This bag is ideal for fishing on the move. Large enough to contain all you need but small enough to the unobtrusive. It looks good and is very comfy to use. this is the best fishing bag I have ever had.
so good I bought two!! -

I ended up buying 2 as they are excellent. I use one for shore fishing and it holds everything you need for a days fishing into the light surf. The other I use for wandering around the wild Scottish lochs packed with fly boxes. Comfortable and robust. Highly recommend.

A good product for carrying water & food and random bits for a day's fishing. I've used this 4 times now on longish days on the river - 4-6 hours - when I can be roaming far. I'm still wearing my vest too - this pack is for the heavy stuff. I like to carry a water bladder, with 1litre or 1.5litres - that's heavy when it's in the back of your vest! So, this pack is ideal - it swallows up a 1 litre bladder with ample room to spare, and I hardly notice the weight because it is comfortable around my waist/hips. I've even added a small coffee flask to the load (250ml) and been comfortable. I've also had my folding wading staff strapped on to the side, sliding over the hip strap, and that has been ok, practical, and not obtrusive. There's room too for spare thermal top, hat, gloves, and my lunch - pretty happy with the capacity. On the riverbank, scrambling about or crawling through bushes etc it's been no problem, and stays in place. I can sit down without sitting on it or noticing it, so it is not in the way. It's easy to unclip and put down for a longer rest. I can unzip my waders while wearing it for a 'comfort break' (all that water and coffee gets to you!). I can swivel the pack around from back to front to get at things, or can swivel it halfway to my side. While fishing, I don't notice it is there. Good! It does limit deep wading, but it seems water resistant enough to cope with getting it's underside wet. I've cut away the clips for the neck strap - the neck strap is thin, and I would never use it - it feels like it would pull be forward and be very uncomfortable. There is a detachable fly patch that apparently can be stuck on the lid - hmm, not sure i need that, so it's been removed. The hip straps don't work loose - that's good. It can be a bit fiddly to get it tightened just perfectly - probably because i've got it heavily laden - so you'll probably expect a little jiggle/looseness, but you won't notice it when walking/fishing. I'm only a 33" waist, and even with waders and jackets i find there's a lot of excess tag ends of the waist straps. I've added elastic bands to tidy that up - a minor niggle, and unavoidable in a one-size-fits-all product. I think the side pockets for bottles feel a little loose, and not tall enough - I'd worry that a bottle would work itself loose and fall out. So I'm putting bagels in them - perfect river snack and they fit just right - and putting the flask inside the pack. the wee pockets inside are pretty useful for organising small stuff. So, as a carrying pack, great, I've been very happy with it so far. Possibly a D-ring or two on the sides would be a useful addition, or a useful alternative to the clip platches. But I can probably add a D-ring myself. Overall, I'll give at a 5*, and expect this pack will get a lot of hours out there this season.
Waist/hip pack -
Really pleased but have not yet had chance to use it. A larger drink holder would have been good. Great value. The fly pad looks really handy and will save carrying fly boxes.
Very good waist pack -

I bought this pack a week before and i had two fishing trips so far with it. I was carrying the pack for about 6-7 hours and i didn`t feel any discomfort! Material is great, zippers too , very easy to use and ensure a great access to main compartment! There is plenty of room for boxes, accessories , etc. I put in the pack 4 fly boxes, water bottle, 2 reels, some snacks, leaders, tippet, eyewear case and my merino base layer in the end of the day... :D The pack continued to stand still and secure on my hip! Great piece of equipment!

I am so pleased with this product. I am 6ft 6 tall and have been searching for a shoulder bag for ages with a decent length strap which doesnt slide off your shoulder while walking. When I looked at the details for this pack it says it comes with a longer strap to use over your shoulder and its perfect. I tried it on my waist thinking it would feel awkward and clumsy but it doesnt. It can be worn at the front or side and has straps to support it over both shoulders if you wish to wear it at thew front. It has thoughtful zips and pockets, fly patch at the front which can be removed from inside the flap and re-attached on the outside, a slot for your scissors or forceps, 3 pockets inside and one in the top flap, 1 stretchy mesh pocket at each end outside. The shoulder straps can be removed completely if you dont use them and there are spongy patches for your zingers on the lower front face. This bag has clearly been designed by someone who fishes and it shows, Well done orvis this a great bit of kit and well worth the spend

I have been after a waist pack and was deliberating the shoulder version, however the shop assistant said this was in the sale from £75 down to £37.50, whopping 50% off.it was a no brainer and it has been a invaluable piece of kit, it goes every where with me in the water and on the bank, my misses even put it through her washing machine. Thanks Orvis
Great great great -
I don't fish! I purchased this to carry my things in when i carry my toddler on my back. Rucksack on the front is a bit annoying. I can fit it nappies, spare clothes, snacks, drinks, phone, wallet etc. Its really comfy to carry and looks like it should last a long time. Service from Orvis was really great too. Really fast delivery.
Vest eliminator -
The waist/hip pack provides adequate storage for fly boxes and other accessories to enable me to leave the vest off on warm days.
