I bought a pair of these boots for my daughter. They foot the bill, not too expensive, Ecotrak with studs for a sure grip, and well made. She loves them and should get years of use until she decides to make a step up to a more expensive model.
Well made quality -

Purchased these for my son. They appear to be of high quality and solidly built. I wish they had them left in my size too if so I would purchase another pair.
great shoes -

I love these shoes, I use it for this ugly weather here in NY. This became my winter boots, because of the spikes on hte bottom, I wont slip in the snow.
Excellent boots, priced just right -
Quality product at price hard to beat. I was skeptic when I first saw them, but the boots are of solid construction with great support in the ankles. The added toe and heel abrasion coverage is great, especially on the boulder strewn rivers I fish in on my home waters.
Nice boots for mom -
I purchase these boots for my mother. She is very pleased said they are the best wading boot she has ever worn.
Great Grip on Rocks -
By: snobird23 from Sandy ,Utah
I am a 66 yrs old woman who fishes small streams. After years of slipping & sliding & using a wading stick, I can now walk easily over stones & boulders without falling. The grip of these boots is great! The boots are easy to lace up tight & stay tight through out the entire day unlike my old boots. The boots are heavier & higher than my old boots, but they have superior gripping power which offsets the weight issue. Why doesn't Ovis make more Womens fishing products like boots & waders? I had to buy a mens size 6 & a 7 in my old boots because there were no womens sizes. We women love fishing every bit as much as the men & hold good jobs with good incomes. Orvis you are missing a great retailing opportunity.
Very comfortable boots -
By: CTsprey from Guilford, CT
I've used these boots dozens of times in rivers and ponds. They are comfortable even when hiking into a site. The studs provide outstanding grip. They lace up quickly and easily. The Orvis recommended sizing was perfect. The boots dry quickly after use. Another outstanding Orvis product.

I have always used felts when fishing the River... But I am completely converted to the rubber and stud combo. They have already kept me dry a couple of times. Great Grip, Traction, and Comfortable.
Help Stem the Spread of Aquatic Invasives — Inspect, Clean, & Dry Your Gear.
As the threat of Aquatic Nuisance Species (ANS) such as New Zealand mud snails and Didymo grows, anglers wonder what’s the best way to care for gear to help stem their spread.
“The best way to care for your gear to prevent the spread of aquatic invasives is to
* Chemicals used to clean gear are harsh on gear and environmentally harmful. Orvis and most leading conservation organizations do not recommend them.
Felt-soled wading boots - one source of the spread of ANS
While birds, wildlife, and outdoor pursuits other than angling can carry ANS from watershed to watershed, we anglers play a part. Felt soles on wader boots are the primary concern of anglers, as they make the most contact with the river bottom where ANS live. Combine that with felt being absorbent and slow to dry, and they become the #1 carrier of ANS due to angling.
The Innovative Design of River Guard Wading Boots with EcoTraX™ Soles
Our new River Guard Wading Boots with EcoTraX™ Soles help stem the spread of ANS because ANS can’t cling to them as well as to felt. EcoTraX soles also dry exponentially faster than felt, which can take days to dry thoroughly enough for absorbed ANS to die.
New EcoTraX sole treads, exclusive to Orvis, have special sharp edges on the lugged cross pattern to grab better than other rubber soles. We include PosiGrip™ screw-in studs, so you get the best traction in varied conditions for added safety.
While there’s no panacea to stop the spread of ANS, new River Guard boots go a long way to help.
“Our higher purpose as a company is to introduce our customers to the natural world;
Wash invasives away! Rubber soles make washing off invasive species far easier. The smooth non-absorbent surface, unlike felt that absorbs water and spores that can remain in it for weeks on end, gives spores and the like no place to take root or “hide.’’
