Great Skirt -
I have this skirt in three colors and just love it. The A-line cut is flattering and the length is perfect. Pencil skirts just are not flattering to many. Shorter skirts that land above the knee by a few inches are not flattering to most of us over the age of 40. This skirt is sporty and looks great. I am sorry it is only in the sale catalog. I was hoping there would be a new color this fall.

I just love this skirt. It goes so well with my tops, sweaters, etc. I wear it with flats, and sort boots. The fabric, cut, and style are of excellent quality. A very good buy, and a very good choice.
Light Weight Skirt/perfect fit -

I purchased the coral color of this skirt thinking it would be thicker material and intended to wear it in the winter since it is longer than I wear in the summer, however, it is thinner material so light weight. Size 8 fits like it should.

Hard to find -
Modest denim skirt (size 4 fit well on 5'3" , 105lb person) is medium weight. Carefree wash & dry, with NO annoying curl at the hem or on the fly and no fading. Liked the dark indigo, so am ordering chambray. Wish this skirt came in khaki, too.

I've tried to find a jean skirt for a very long time and this one fits the bill. It's perfect in every way for me. I expect to get lots of wear out of this garment and plan to use it as a travel piece as well.

Had been looking for a denim skirt easy for walking (not pencil) and no elastic. This one is well made and true to size. Nice details.

Excellent fit (UK12) and length especially for the summer. Comfortable. Like good denim products something that can be dressed up or down depending on the occasions.
The Practical Fashion of Vintage Denim
Few fabrics can boast the tradition and the colorful history that denim claims. From gold miner’s staple to the darling of high fashion, this down-to-earth indigo twill has worked its way into our hearts and into our closets. Our signature version, Orvis Vintage Denim is a traditional mid-weight denim made of pure cotton.
The Rugged Outdoor Fabric of Choice for Centuries
No other fabric is as quintessentially American as denim is. Used for the sails on Christopher Columbus’s ships, it first arrived on our shores in 1492, but the rugged textile had already been known in Europe for centuries. From the original serge de Nîmes, denim had been manufactured in France since 300 A.D. ad the outdoor fabric of choice for workers and farmers throughout Northern Europe.
Orvis Vintage Denim: The Toughness of Original Denim, but Prewashed for Softness
This sturdy cotton fabric derives its toughness from the weave — twill is the strongest of all of the fabric weaves, with threads woven in a tight diagonal pattern for increased strength. This diagonal pattern, or twill line, makes the fabric very durable and prevents it from tearing or ripping easily. The steeper the twill line, the higher quality the fabric; this is because the steeper weaves have more yarns per inch. Woven in this strong pattern, our 8 oz. Vintage Denim is prewashed for softness and will only get better with age.
Great for Travel
Orvis Vintage Denim is ideal for travel. Our sturdy, easy-care skirts, pants, and dresses are as stylish as they are comfortable, resist wrinkles, and the mid-weight fabric is suitable for year-round wear. Because our Vintage Denim is so versatile, practical, and popular, we offer a wide variety of styles for women in traditional denim blue, plus a range of wardrobe-expanding colors.
